Headed off for some vacation, but before taking off, wanted to play some catch up from a few stories from 2009…

Summary from 55 days of ER/ICU/Community Care/Rehab:
I could go on forever…but let me summarize:
~Dr. Catalano and the ER staff were so helpful
~I equate the care I received at CCC to ICU and ICU to the best
~CCC/rehab colleagues are miracle workers. I am confident that my husband would not have walked again without Mike,Amanda,Maggie and Carol
~Outpatient therapy continued to work their magic
From CB:
Three surgeries this past year, the last from Dr. Palutsis, he was excellent. The whole hospital, atmosphere was just unbelievable.
Just wanted to recognize certain people. Bob Mick night shift, the rest of nurses on # East and Lori in Nuclear medicine, she was right there by my side and she was wonderful.

- Stan has been a practicing health care administrator for 32 plus years. As CEO of Alliance Community Hospital (ACH) he is experiencing the most rewarding and meaningful time of his professional career. What makes it so are the people (colleagues), physicians, volunteers and Board of Trustees at ACH that are providing an opportunity for practicing Health Caring the way it should be. These are the team members of ACH who dedicate themselves to caring for patients and each other every day. People such as Bob Shouldice, Charles Stearns, Andrew Ganti, Bob Clarke, Jim Rigby, and Bill Turman who taught and shared with him the principles of leadership and caring.

I am not the best grammarian so i apologize in advance and I am also not the best typist so I hope to remember to use spell check.
When someone does have a better way of doing or saying things and they are not my original thought I will always try to give credit.
So thank you to Griffin Hospital one of the best Planetree Hospitals (http://www.griffinhealth.org/), for "changing the face of healthcare" (their tag line).
Also a special thanks to Paul Levy one of the first hospital CEOs to start communicating directly to the community and others on a blog. I would also give him credit for the rules to follow which make perfect sense.
A few rules:
I cannot comment on individual and legally confidential patient care issues in this forum -- although I can refer patients of our hospital to the appropriate people if they have problems or complaints. I also cannot comment on confidental personnel matters of our employees -- although, again, I can refer people to the appropriate folks in the hospital to help them.

I CAN TELL YOU THIS, DR. PALUTSIS IS A BLESSING TO ALL LUCKY ENOUGH TO MEET..I WAS ABOUT TOTALLY CRIPPLED A YEAR AGO AND AFTER BOTH HIP SURGERIES I AM A 56 YOUNG WOMAN WHO CAN ALMOST DO THE SPLITS!!LOL..YOU SHOULD BE HONORED TO HAVE SUCH A WONDERFUL PERSON/SURGEON ON YOUR STAFF!! CHRISTINE VANCOONEY..
